I read it while camping with the family. It’s really just a common sense book, meaning that you have to eat right in order to lose weight. I like her premise of eating small frequent meals every day. I like that she recommends flavoring your foods with savory spices and seasonings instead of heavy sauces, but my favorite part is Chocolate every day! What’s not to like?
She has a 5 day fast forward plan that I thought I would try. Hubby was on board. It involved eating only 5 foods for 5 meals a day for 5 days. The five foods are:
- Organic Eggs
- Nonfat (0%) plain organic yogurt
I bought all the stuff, fixed all the meals, followed the directions and only lasted 1 day! By day 2 I just couldn’t take it any more. I REALLY like the idea of a kickstart to a weight loss program. I think it makes sense and helps rid the body of toxins, but try as I may I couldn’t do this one. Hubby lasted 2 days. Not to mention that in the quantity needed this stuff was pricey! There is a short little quiz in the book to help you decide if the 5 day fast forward is for you.
The book is full of recipes and tried and true stories from people that lost the weight and kept it off. Those are really inspiring! My overall review? Good book, good stories, great recipes. It’s worth the buy.
