I believe that if 100 million people underwent personal transformation in the direction of peace, harmony, laughter, love, kindness, joy and equanimity the world would be fundamentally transformed,” said Dr. Chopra, author of 65 books and co-founder of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. “ By subscribing to this channel and participating in our community by watching, responding to and interacting with the content, by sharing and uploading your own videos and making comments, we can find the critical mass that will transform this planet.”

Each family member is excited about the launch of this new venture and the potential it holds for helping a global audience achieve real-life change.

My father is not only an inspiration to the world, but also to those of us who know him well. It’s been interesting, thrilling and also very fulfilling to work with my brother and father, as well as the incredible team involved in launching The Chopra Well,” said Mallika Chopra, also an author and founder of media company Intent.com.

My sister and I have had the incredible good fortune to grow up around great minds who are always pushing the boundaries of innovation and imagination,” added Gotham. “Now – because of the technological tools we have at our disposal, YouTube most notably – we are able to help evolve this community of thinkers to a whole new stratosphere. We no longer need to evangelize change, we can do it, and be it, and share it with one another. And frankly speaking, I think there is an urgency to all of this – we need to rethink the world in which we want to live starting now.”

The Chopra Well Channel is produced in partnership with GENERATE STUDIOSAlloy Digital’s in-house production division. The channel will be promoted through Alloy Digital-owned YouTube channels, which rank No. 1 in total YouTube subscribers, and through targeted websites across the Alloy Digital Network.

Different is the New Normal. Wanna be inspired? Read on…

I want to share with you the story of inspirational Chicago-area teen Ariel Small, narrated by Michael J. Fox will make its debut in May.  Different is the New Normal premieres on PBS stations from coast-to-coast (check local listings) and airs on WTTW May 21 at 10:00 p.m. – just in time for National Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month.  Celebrated American Idol Finalist James Durbin also joins Ariel in the film.

Ariel was born in suburban Chicago, the middle child in a close-knit family of four boys.  When he was 6, his concerned parents noticed that Ariel was exhibiting odd facial movements, which he couldn’t seem to control and he was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome, a neurobiological disorder affecting an estimated 200,000 people in the U.S. alone.  One of the disabling aspects of Tourette’s is the tics that disrupt daily function, but Ariel found that another was the constant need to prove that he wasn’t faking his symptoms – especially to his teachers.  To help safeguard other children from the hardships he has faced since he was young, Ariel’s laudable mission is to speak out to demystify Tourette’s.
With his permission, Ariel’s mother (and the film’s producer), Robin Small, turned the camera on her son to give viewers an acutely personal, compelling and ultimately uplifting perspective on his emotional journey to overcome the challenges of living with Tourette’s and break through the misconceptions and shame.  Ariel’s moving on-camera conversation with James Durbin, whose path led him from brutally-bullied student living with Tourette’s to rock performer with a debut album rising up the charts, helps reinforce Ariel’s own belief that anything is possible. The film’s title was inspired by James’ trademark catchphrase, “Different is the new normal.”

Today, as a Youth Ambassador for the Tourette Syndrome Association, Ariel has addressed members of Congress and he visits local schools to increase awareness about the disorder that affects him and so many others who are living with Tourette’s.

Simple way to manage & organize your Christmas Lists!

This website is a must have for mom! It’s genuis, it’s so simple I have a hard time believe that it didn’t actually exist before now. It’s called Santa’s Hideout. In less than 1 minute I was all signed up. The first screen I had to create a user name and password. Second page was verifiying date of birth, and third was entering my name, email and password again (for security purposes).
The sign up screen
From there my account has been created, now I get to the fun part of entering in more about my family.
You MUST click “Create List” before you hit “Wrap it up!” or your lists will NOT be saved! I learned this lesson the hard way.

When you create a list you can set limits on budget and can decide what item can or can’t be shown.

Camden is wanting Link toys but when I did a search I couldn’t find what he was looking for. I’m not sure how it searches for the toys that you can add, but I couldn’t find Link action figure toys.

Here’s the kids view:
After you creatae your lists you can go and edit other lists, or Go to Santa’s Desk:

From Santa’s Desk the parent can send messages as “Santa”. They can be anything from asking them to set up a registry to reminding them to take out the trash to telling them if they do well on that spelling test they can add another item to their List.

Share individual items or an entire List with family and friends through email, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or Tumblr. An email will alert you when there are updates made to a List by a recipient or a friend or relative. Make purchases easily online or track your gifting through your account. On the go? No problem! Santa’s Hideout Lists are optimized for mobile, so take it to the store. Best part, Mom is in control: make changes to Lists, add or delete items and avoid duplicates.

How did you pick a flat screen TV?

Lou and I have been considering the idea of finally joining the ranks of what seems to be everyone else, and purchase a flat screen TV. I’ve been avoiding it for 3 reasons.

1. Our current TV works just fine.
2. Flat screens are expensive
3. I worry about how long it’s going to last and if the boys will end up destroying it.

Do you know the difference between LCD, LED, HDTV? I don’t. I wouldn’t know where to begin actually. It makes you wish for something simple that could help you decide, right? Well, there is!

It’s called the HDTV Genie!!! It says based on the information I provided that the best TV for me would be the LG 37LV3500 37-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV.

So tell me how you picked your current TV out. Did you research till you were blue in the face? Honestly I don’t have time for that. Did you know that 98% of houses in the US have a TV? And 70% of those have an HDTV? I didn’t. See? We really are falling behind the times.

Chris Powers, a spokesman from The HDTV Genie said “The average price of an HDTV in 2011 is $535, but what’s the cost of buying the wrong one? Do you ship it back and pay the restocking fee, take the change of blindly selecting another TV, or simply live with a TV that you’re unhappy with. Our goal is to help the consumer get the right TV the first time around.”

How true is that? The website is easy to use, user friendly and offers tons of choices to filter down the selection of HDTV’s that remain. Ideal for sure. So head on over there, try it out and see what you think? With Black Friday and Cyber Monday being just around the corner, NOW is the perfect time to shop for a TV!!! I hope the HDTV Genie helps you narrow down the options and pick the perfect TV for you.
